Description of the Fenix TK30R handheld laser flashlight:
The Fenix TK30R is a tactical flashlight that can be mounted on a weapon using one of the company's mounts. The model uses a class 1 laser as the emitter, which generates a more focused beam of light compared to conventional LED flashlights.
Just imagine: the long-range of the laser beam (color temperature 6500K) reaches 1500 m! This means that you can use the device not only to illuminate individual objects indoors or outdoors, but also use the lighting as a light guide, for example, during a tourist trip, hunting, patrolling or performing search and rescue operations.
The model is an improved version of the basic TK30 flashlight, and in addition to the increased light range, it has received an addition in the form of a USB Type-C charging port and improved autonomy (a full 8 hours and 50 minutes of continuous lighting on a single charge).
Operating modes and control features
There are 3 operating modes to choose from: a couple of options with constant lighting and a strobe, which generates bright flashes of light in case you need to disorient an ill-wisher, scare away a wild animal, or attract attention in an emergency situation.
High: 500 lm – 600,000 cd – 3 h 30 min – 1500 m;
Low: 100 lm – 100,000 cd – 8 hours 50 minutes – 600 m;
Stroboscope: 500 lm.
Importantly! If the temperature of the flashlight's internal electronics reaches 60°C, overheating protection is activated. As a result, the brightness of the light in High mode is automatically reduced by a few lumens to allow the device to cool down. When the temperature drops below 60°C, the most powerful mode is ready for use again.
The control is implemented with an emphasis on the speed of light adjustment with one hand. For this, the control system is placed in the tail part of the structure: the button is responsible for turning the flashlight on/off and activating the strobe, and the rotary switch allows you to quickly change modes and set a lock so that the model does not accidentally turn on during transportation.
Power source
The operating voltage of the Fenix TK30R is 2.9 V - 6.0 V. It is powered by one 21700 li-ion battery with a nominal voltage of 3.6 V (included). The battery is charged via a USB Type-C port hidden in the main body of the flashlight. The charging time is 4 hours when using a 15 W or higher charging adapter.
You can monitor the amount of charge in the battery by activating the colored indicator by pressing the tail button (works only for Fenix ARB-L21 series batteries).
Physical parameters
The A6061-T6 aluminum body (1m impact resistance) is resistant to mechanical damage and recoil during shooting. The HAIII type anodized coating protects the metal from corrosion and mattifies minor scratches that may appear on the shell during operation.
A nice bonus is the complete tightness of the design (IP68), which allows you to use the flashlight in any weather conditions. In addition, the model continues to work stably even after immersion in water to a depth of 2 m for 30 minutes.
The design weighs 250g and comes with a pocket clip. The kit also includes a lanyard and a case with a belt loop, offering alternative ways to carry it.
If desired, you can expand the functionality of the flashlight with branded accessories: ALG-15, ALG-16 or ALG-18 mounts, AER-05 remote button and ALG-05 and ALG-06 mounts for it, as well as AOF-L, AOD-M and AOT-02 light filters.
