The knife was designed by Ostap Hel, a full-time designer and manufacturer of custom knives and equipment from Poland. He had a talent for drawing since childhood. As a teenager, Ostap showed a keen interest in knives and cold weapons in general, as he was fascinated by the Middle Ages and weapons, knightly equipment. For about a year, he worked as an apprentice in a gunsmith's workshop and gained some experience, in particular, traditional technologies for making weapons and armor of medieval knights. Since then, he began to look for his own design solutions and began a long journey from the first locksmithing to the use of CNC machines when creating knives in the formation of his own workshop. Today, Ostap Hel is a fairly well-known designer who designs and creates custom knives and EDC equipment. Despite the fact that in his works he is based on basic geometry, smooth transitions and the golden ratio, Ostap is not afraid to experiment with new forms and ideas.

The Sencut Scitus blade is made of D2 steel. It is worth noting that the composition contains 13% chromium. The steel is hardened in the range of 58-60 HRC. Due to this, the material is reliably protected from corrosion. The high carbide content in the microstructure ensures that the steel does not wear out quickly, so the knife is characterized by durability.

In this version of the knife, the manufacturer decided to focus on the classic solution - the Straight Back blade. The long cutting edge, the small thickness of the blade and good sharpening provide a comfortable and efficient cutting process. On the back side there is a special notch on which you can confidently rest your thumb, which helps when performing work that requires precision.

Thanks to the Black Stonewash treatment, the blade is black in color, and the additional coating well masks further scratches that may appear during use of the knife.

The Liner Lock provides the necessary comfort and safety during use. When open, it forms a kind of shield that protects the hand from slipping on the blade.

The handle is made of Micarta, a composite material pressed under pressure with synthetic resin. In addition, the material is beautiful, durable, tolerates temperature changes well, does not react with many chemicals. Thanks to these qualities, this material is more practical and durable than ordinary plastic or wood. The edges of the facing are smooth and provide an ergonomic and comfortable grip. Thanks to the special design, the knife is easy to clean.

The manufacturer has equipped the Sencut Scitus knife with a double-sided clip, so it can be conveniently and discreetly carried in a pocket or backpack. Such an accessory can also be conveniently transported in a zippered case.
