The blade material 9Cr18MoV is a good option for inexpensive everyday knives. The alloy is highly resistant to corrosion, and the molybdenum and vanadium content provides excellent edge retention. The basic characteristics of the steel are close to 420HC and have a hardening hardness of up to 59 HRC.
The blade is additionally treated with the Stonewashed method to mask minor scratches. The small thickness of the blade in combination with good sharpening provides excellent geometry of the cutting edge and extraordinary efficiency of the cutting process. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth operation of the blade opening mechanism. When opening, a mini-protection is created that prevents the hand from slipping on the blade.
The G10 fiberglass handle is a composite material made from fiberglass and epoxy resin. During the production process, the fiberglass is thoroughly soaked in resins, after which it is compressed. Thanks to the special production technology, the material becomes stronger and more durable, has proven itself well when working in adverse conditions. G10 is not only durable, but also impact-resistant, perfectly tolerates moisture and lends itself well to painting. It looks very similar to micarta, but surpasses it in strength and fire resistance.
