The M661-TZ model is an improved version of the P661-B knife, one of the most popular tools in the Ruike brand range. The knife retained its original design, but the changes affected the materials - the updated model has become even stronger and at the same time noticeably lighter.
The blade uses premium American-made 154CM steel. The brand is considered one of the best in its price category, as it has a balanced composition. It contains 1.1% carbon and about 14% chromium, which makes the metal especially strong and rustproof. The steel is cryogenically treated, so its hardness reaches a high level of about 58-60 HRC. The blade shape is a normal blade with a long cutting edge, the straight sharpening of which allows you to accurately cut materials regardless of their density. The blade length is 74 mm. The blade is 3.5 mm thick, which allows it to more effectively cope with increased loads without chipping.
The ball bearing is responsible for the smooth opening of the structure, and the Frame Lock is responsible for keeping the blade open. The model can be brought into combat readiness with one swing of the hand using a pin and closed in the same way, which allows you to significantly increase the comfort of use. At the base of the blade, in the butt area, you can find multiple notches. They serve as a finger rest if you need to pierce a hard object or perform particularly difficult work with the tool.
The M661-TZ model retains the recognizable design of the basic knife. One side of the handle is made of TC4 titanium alloy, the other side has an addition in the form of a heat-resistant G10 fiberglass overlay. The use of titanium not only increases the stability of the design, but also reduces its weight to 60 grams, taking into account the one-sided clip for concealed carry.
