The Weknife Banter 2004B pocket knife is one of the results of Weknife's collaboration with knife designer Ben Petersen. Petersen's design embodied his own ideas about what a tool for everyday use should look like, and his idea quickly found a response in the hearts of cutting tool lovers as soon as the model went on sale in 2020.
The first feature that catches your eye when looking at the knife is its miniature size and weight, which is 81 g. The shortened blade of 73.7 mm is hidden in a handle no longer than 91.9 mm, making it easier to wear the tool on clothes. For this purpose, a steel clip is also provided, which allows you to hide the model deep in a pocket.
The material of the leaf-shaped blade is premium CPM S35VN steel of American production. It combines three key factors that are especially valued in knife metals: resistance to rust, ease of sharpening and the ability to withstand long-term loads without violating the integrity and deformation of the cutting edge. The black coating applied to the blade surface increases the brand's resistance to oxidation, and tumbling makes fingerprints, scratches and other minor damage that appear on the metal during use of the tool invisible.
The Weknife Banter 2004B knife can be easily opened with both right and left hands, as the pin attached to the blade is double-sided. This element is made of 6AL4V titanium with a blue coating, which serves as a design decoration. The blade is fixed with a liner lock.
The model has a black handle with G10 fiberglass inserts, a classic material for many EDC knives. The rough surface of the inserts makes it comfortable to hold, preventing your palm from slipping, and the wear resistance of G10 ensures that the handle will not crack or deform in the event of temperature changes and mechanical impact.
