Description of the Civivi Ki-V C2108B folding knife:

The miniature Civivi Ki-V tool is a replacement for full-size counterparts. Its maximum length is no more than 100 mm, so it does not belong to the category of edged weapons and is suitable for discreet carrying in a pocket.

This folding model is the brainchild of the world-famous designer Ostap Hel. The blade has an unusual shape with a beveled edge, visually resembling an inverted clip point knife. It is suitable for making thin and neat cuts, for example, paper or cardboard packaging. For this purpose, a long finger rest is also provided in the middle of the butt. The blade length is 39.4 mm with a thickness of 2.5 mm.

The blade is made of martensitic steel 9Cr18MoV with a hardness of 57-59 HRC. The inclusion of molybdenum and vanadium in the composition gives the metal greater strength, and the presence of carbon of about 0.9% allows the cutting edge to retain sharpness longer. The surface of the steel is treated with the stonewash method with subsequent application of a black coating.

The slip joint lock is responsible for the safety of operation, and the ceramic ball bearing ensures smooth opening and closing of the blade. Despite its extremely small dimensions, the Civivi Ki-V knife has good ergonomics. The slightly convex handles are made of G10 fiberglass - a polymer that is resistant to moisture, temperature changes and shock loads. The rough surface of the handle prevents the knife from slipping in the palm of your hand.

The design folds down to 60.6 mm (length) x 11.5 mm (thickness). The weight including the clip is 39.6 grams.
