Description of the Civivi Sandbar C20011-3 folding knife:

The Sandbar line of pocket EDC knives is based on a design developed by American knifemaker Eric Ochs and released by the Civivi brand in 2022. This tool has a laconic design with a minimum of small parts, which reduced its weight to 69.4 grams, and the addition of a two-position Tip-Up clip made of 6AL4V titanium made it comfortable to wear for both right- and left-handed people.

The axial assembly is made on a ceramic ball bearing, so the blade stroke is smooth. The blade length reaches 75 mm. The straight sharpening demonstrates an even and neat cut, and the thin tip is able to pierce even unyielding materials.

The blade material is Nitro-V steel, which effectively resists corrosion due to the nitrogen content and about 13% chromium. The cutting edge is easy to process, despite the high hardness of the metal, which is within 58-60 HRC. A type of tumbling of the blade called “stonewash” gives the surface a slight matte finish. It hides fingerprints and makes scuffs less visible, preserving the appearance of the tool even after prolonged use.

To open the folding knife, simply press the flipper. The liner lock with a steel plate holds the blade in a fixed position, preventing it from closing during intense pressure on the tip of the knife.

The handle pads are made of micarta, which retains its shape in case of sudden temperature changes, has electrical insulating properties and is not subject to mechanical stress. A lanyard can be threaded through the tail hole as a decoration of the structure and additional insurance against accidental slipping of the tool from the hand.
