The design of the model is simple: it contains a minimum of small parts, so the design is convenient to use and carry, which is also facilitated by the weight, which is only 81.5 grams. The clip point blade with a characteristic pointed tip is suitable for both cutting and piercing work. The blade with a straight sharpening provides an even cut and is easily processed with medium-grained whetstones.

The blade material, the length of which is 82.6 mm, is 9Cr18MoV knife steel. It contains about 18% chromium and 0.9% carbon, maintaining a balance between corrosion resistance and strength characteristics. The hardness of the metal is in the range of 57-59 HRC. Black stonewash treatment forms a unique pattern on the surface, which removes shine and preserves the appearance of the tool for a longer period, which cannot be boasted by analogues with untreated blades.

The user can open the tool in several ways. For this purpose, a ribbed flipper tongue and a through hole in the blade, known as a “manual thumb”, are provided. The ceramic ball makes opening almost instantaneous. Another advantage of this mechanism is a long service life due to the resistance of ceramics to deformation. The blade is fixed by a liner lock.

The handle is framed by black FRN thermoplastic plates that are resistant to impact. The textured surface of the material prevents the structure from slipping in the palm of your hand during use, and the handle thickness of 12 mm guarantees a firm hold.

The Civivi Ortis knife comes with a steel clip with a black coating, which is also present on all small elements. The clip is two-position. Together with it, the weight of the tool is 81.5 grams.
