The Slashkin knife from Sencut has three main features that are valued in folding EDC tools: versatility, ergonomics and ease of transportation, which is provided by a two-position deep-seat clip. At the same time, the model is not devoid of an aesthetic component - the black coating of the 88.3 mm blade gives the knife a brutal look, and the green overlays make the design unique.
The drop point blade is suitable for a variety of tasks that require straight cuts or pinpoint punctures. The straight cutting edge is easy to sharpen, and the black metal color hides fingerprints.
The blade material is D2 steel, which is widely used in the production of tools for various purposes. The balanced composition of the alloy, which, among other elements, contains ±12% chromium and ±1.5% carbon, makes the metal corrosion-resistant, durable and at the same time easy to sharpen. After hardening, the hardness of the steel reaches 59-61 HRC.
The design uses a liner lock. The knife is characterized by almost instant opening thanks to a ceramic ball bearing. The blade can be removed in two ways: using a flipper or a double-sided pin.
The grips are made of Micarta. The blades have gently curved edges for a comfortable grip. In addition, the material does not crack upon impact, and does not absorb moisture or odors.
The material of the small parts, including the pommel and pocket clip, is stainless steel with a dark coating to match the blade. The total weight of the structure is 108.8 grams.
