Description of the Civivi Baby Banter C19068S-5 folding knife:

The Civivi Baby Banter knife is a compact EDC tool designed by American designer Ben Petersen. This model is a scaled-down copy of the full-size Civivi Banter, adapted for everyday pocket carrying around town.

The folding design consists of a short blade with a length of 59.4 mm and a handle, the thickness of which does not exceed 10.3 mm. The blade material is high-carbon Nitro-V steel. The metal includes a large amount of vanadium and nitrogen, which increases corrosion resistance. The surface of the steel is matte due to the gray stonewash treatment, which eliminates metallic shine, and scratches and fingerprints become less visible.

The blade with a direct sharpening is opened using a pin, which is made of 6AL4V titanium. The locking mechanism is a standard liner lock, there is a ceramic ball lock. Additional comfort of use is provided by a grooved finger rest on the butt and a notch for the index finger, which prevents the hand from slipping on the blade.

Fiberglass plates on the handle do not crack in case of impact, do not change color and shape under the influence of sunlight, oils, acids. The edges are specially rounded so that the handle does not press on the palm. The tail of the structure has a two-position stainless steel clamp and a wide hole for a lanyard.

The model weighs only 56.5 grams and has a length of 79.3 mm when folded.
