The Ruike FS68 knife has a simple design, in which the main attention is drawn to the blade with a non-standard Bird's Beak profile. Blades of this shape are usually found in kitchen tools for cleaning vegetables, and are rarely used in pocket knives. However, the Ruike company managed to adapt this shape to the tasks that the user faces in the home and field kitchen, as well as when setting up a tourist camp.
The blade is 86 mm long and has a curved blade with a straight edge that can handle cutting anything in its path. The thin tip is especially convenient for making neat cuts, whether it is fabric, rubber or meat products. There are notches on the butt. They act as a finger rest.
The blade material is Swedish Sandvik 14C28N steel. Thanks to special processing methods, the hardness of the metal reaches the standard 57-59 HRC, which, together with the 3.5-millimeter thickness of the butt, provides the blade with maximum wear resistance and resistance to deformation. Another advantage of the steel is its anti-corrosion properties, which prevent the appearance of corrosion spots with regular contact with aggressive environments.
The blade surface is stonewashed. The result is a matte finish that hides scuffs and scratches that occur during prolonged use of the tool.
The handle is fitted with black G10 fiberglass plates. This is one of the best materials on the market today, widely used in the knife industry. Its popularity is due to its strength, lightness and resistance to a number of negative factors, including temperature changes and aggressive liquids. The textured surface of the plates increases the comfort of holding the structure. This is also facilitated by the deep finger groove, which prevents the fingers from slipping on the blade.
The full length of the knife is 178 mm, and its weight is 70.5 g. There is a wide ring at the tail of the handle for attaching paracord.
The kit includes a branded ABS plastic sheath. The sheath is equipped with a pocket rotating clip that allows you to fix the tool on the belt in a convenient position for the user.
