The elegant Civivi Stormridge knife vaguely resembles a Persian dagger, in particular due to the long straight back blade. The model is designed specifically for field use with an emphasis on strength and durability of the design. However, the manufacturer did not forget about the aesthetic component, having treated the blade surface with a stonewash method with a sand-colored coating.
The blade length reaches 99.6 mm. The 3-millimeter butt has notches for a thumb rest. Similar notches are present in the upper and lower parts of the handle, closer to the base of the blade. This ensures a comfortable and safe hold of the structure without the risk of accidentally slipping your palm onto the cutting edge.
The blade is made of Nitro-V steel, which appeared on the market in 2017. The brand is characterized by excellent impact strength and resistance to damage, so the tool can be safely used to solve problems of any complexity. In addition to wear resistance, the steel boasts anti-corrosion properties. Even if the blade regularly comes into contact with a humid environment, it is enough to wipe it dry after use so that signs of rust do not appear on the surface.
The handle material is G10 fiberglass, which is resistant to chemical compounds and temperature changes. Its rough surface combined with the rounded shape of the handle contributes to an extremely strong grip without the risk of crushing the palm.
The knife weighs 111.5g including the paracord threaded through the tail hole. It also comes with a sturdy Kydex sheath for comfortable carrying. The sheath features a T-clip designed by Bob Terzuola.
