Folding knife Civivi Baby Banter C19068SC-2
Overview
Description of the Civivi Baby Banter C19068SC-2 folding knife:
The Civivi Baby Banter folding knife is a smaller version of the legendary best-selling Civivi Banter model, designed for everyday carry. Like its full-size counterpart, this knife was designed by American designer Ben Petersen, who embodied in his brainchild his own idea of what a universal EDC tool should look like.
The wharncliffe blade is the main feature of the model. The butt, curved in the direction of the straight cutting edge, creates a unique blade shape suitable for making neat cuts. Another advantage of this profile is the use of the entire length of the blade during cutting. At the same time, the blade is not afraid of intense loads and resists deformation.
The blade is made of Nitro-V steel, which is considered one of the best on the market today. In addition to corrosion resistance, the brand is characterized by high impact strength and long-term sharpening, which allows you to reduce the frequency of blade processing to a minimum. Honing the blade removes the shine of the metal and mattifies fingerprints.
The design opens in a single way - by pressing on a double-sided pin made of high-strength 6AL4V titanium. The axial unit contains ceramic bearings for smooth blade movement, and the nested liner lock ensures reliable fixation of the open blade.
Despite its miniature size (length in the open position is 138.4 mm), the knife is comfortable to use thanks to the handle with Micarta overlays. The material does not crack in case of temperature changes and does not absorb odors. In addition, it has a slightly rough surface, so the tool does not slip in the palm of your hand when held.
The design includes a clip. It is made of stainless steel and can be attached to either the right or left side of the handle. There is also a round hole in the tail if you need to attach a lanyard to the knife.
