Civivi Typhoeus is a unique transforming tool with an innovative design that allows you to transform a model with a fixed blade into a miniature pole knife. The design lacks a lock, which allows you to move the blade to the desired position with one hand movement. In the open position, the tool is suitable for cutting work, and when the blade is moved perpendicular to the handle, it turns into an effective means of self-defense.
The blade length when fully opened is 57.6 mm (when using the model as a pole knife, this value increases to 76.2 mm). The blade is made of Swedish Sandvik 14C28N steel, which boasts very high strength and corrosion resistance due to the optimal chemical composition with a content of about 14% chromium. The hardness of the metal reaches 57-59 HRC, maintaining a balance between ease of processing and the duration of maintaining the sharpness of the blade. The blade is additionally treated with a black stonewash method.
The handle's curved shape provides a firm grip. The handle material is an aluminum alloy, which is resistant to rust when exposed to water and chemicals.
The knife weighs only 92.1 g, which simplifies its transportation. The proprietary sheaths that come with the kit are designed for this purpose. The sheaths are made of genuine leather and are equipped with a button clasp that securely fixes the tool, preventing it from being lost while wearing.
