The Civivi Varius fixed blade drop point knife was developed by American knifemaker Allen Elishewitz. The main idea behind the tool was to design a universal knife that could be used both in tourism and carried with you every day.
Despite the simple format of the tool, the design is thought out in such a way that the product does not cause problems in transportation. All thanks to the minimal weight of 72.4 g and the thin design (the blade thickness is 3 mm, and the handle thickness does not exceed 6.5 mm). This is also facilitated by the Kydex sheath.
The model has a full-tang design, which is made of D2 tool steel. The metal demonstrates good corrosion resistance, resistance to chipping and ease of processing. As a result of quenching, the hardness of the steel reached 58-60 HRC, which also has a positive effect on the durability of the product.
The main feature of the Civivi Varius knife is its unique design with the ability to customize the handle using 2 types of overlays to choose from: classic straight or with a tail hole. The overlays are included in the kit along with two pairs of mounts, offering an expanded number of handle grip options. The overlay material is G10 fiberglass with a rough surface that prevents the palm from slipping on the handle.
