Cold Steel Luzon Medium Knife

The Cold Steel Luzon knife was created by Lynn Thompson and Mike Wallace under the influence of their beloved Filipino Balisongs.There are two models in the line-Medium and Large.The blade of the knife is made of 8Cr13MoV steel with a hardness of 57-58 Rockwell, which, given the dimensions of 4 and 6 inches in the Medium and Large models, respectively, is quite enough to cut something, and maybe even cut it.The blade is equipped with two flippers and a peg, which gives two more options for opening in addition to the inertial ejection of the blade. The ejection is easy due to the heavy blade and bearings on the axle.The manufacturer calls the lock Leaf-Spring, but in fact it is a regular Liner Lock with one small difference. There is a button on the handle that additionally presses the locking plate, preventing the heel of the blade from slipping off, and the knife from spontaneously closing under strong pressure on the lock. The design is designed for greater safety.The handle is made of glass-reinforced GFN nylon and is stylized as a bamboo tree. There is a hole for a lanyard.The clip deserves a special mention. In this model, it is unusually wide and plastic. However, as tests show, the plastic is very durable, and this form of fastening is convenient and does not damage clothes.Taking into account all the parameters of the knife, Cold Steel Luzon belongs to the universal and will be useful in any situation.
