Knife Spyderco Byrd Hawkbill
Overview
The claw-like shape of the Hawkbill knife blade has its roots in the fishing industry, where fast and efficient cutting or tearing of ropes, ropes, nets, etc. was required. The curved end of the knife blade holds the material being cut along the course of the blade, which makes cutting safer and more convenient. Serrated sharpening, of course, increases the efficiency of cutting in the case of cutting various nets, cardboard and fabrics. For greater control of the knife, notches are prudently applied on the butt and at the base of the edge, which also prevent the hand from slipping off in conditions of high humidity. The embossed textured handle, made of fiberglass-compacted nylon (FRN), also provides reliability and ease of holding, as well as significantly facilitates the knife. The designer of the knife, David Boy, created a recess in the locking lever, which ensures that the blade will not automatically fold, even with a strong grip of the handle.
