In 1990, Spyderco stirred up the world by bringing two knives to the market, Delica and Endura. Their success is explained by the reliability of the design, ease of operation, opening the knife with one hand, which they could not even imagine before. They are two of Spyderco's bestsellers, and they have continued to improve since then. During the presence of Endura and Delica on the market, their ergonomics have improved, the blade steel has been modified and the performance indicators have constantly increased. The result of this evolution were Endura4 and Delica4. Both models now have a screw design, cleaning has become much easier. Double frame guides in the stainless steel handle make the knife more durable, while not adding weight. On the reverse side of the blade there is a ribbed finger rest, as well as a branded hole for opening the knife. Bronze bushings soften the opening/closing the knife, and a 4-position clip can be installed at the top or bottom of the handle, both on the right side for a right-handed person, and on the left - for a left-handed user.For fans of aggressive and uncompromising cutting, Spyderco produces a modification with a blade made of ZDP-189 steel. ZDP-189 is a Japanese steel, famous for its highest hardness. It can be tempered to 68 HRC, while it does not become unacceptably fragile. It contains 3% carbon and 20% chromium in its composition. The model is also equipped with a handle made of nylon filled with fiberglass (FRN). This material is very light, but at the same time extremely durable. It is formed by casting, because its bidirectional textured surface is very securely held by the palm of the hand in all weather conditions.
