The Spyderco Para 3 FRN Black folding knife for daily carrying is endowed with all the time-tested characteristics of the Para Military™2 model and is an even more compact and versatile cutting tool. The small satin blade is made of CTS - BD1N steel, which, thanks to the addition of nitrogen, has high corrosion resistance and excellent ability to hold the cutting edge. This is a martensitic stainless steel from the American metallurgical company Carpenter Technology Corporation, which is created by vacuum melting and is an improved version of the CTS-BD1 steel. From the name of the knife, it already becomes clear that the handle pads of the Para 3 FRN BLACK are made of FRN composite material (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon). Nylon reinforced with fiberglass has a low weight and strength, while it is more flexible than fiberglass G-10. The updated texture of the handle contributes to a more reliable hold of the knife.The model is equipped with a Compression Lock and a double-sided deep-wearing clip.
