This is a martensitic stainless steel from the American metallurgical company Carpenter Technology Corporation, which is created by vacuum melting and is an improved version of the CTS-BD1 steel. From the name of the knife, it already becomes clear that the handle pads of the Para 3 FRN BLACK are made of FRN composite material (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon). Nylon reinforced with fiberglass has a low weight and strength, while it is more flexible than fiberglass G-10. The updated texture of the handle contributes to a more reliable hold of the knife.The model is equipped with a Compression Lock and a double-sided deep-wearing clip.
