The Tirpitz line of knives is named after the battleship Tirpitz - the largest of the old ones in Europe. 80 years later, specially for the Boker company, Norwegian divers retrieved several fragments of the armor of the battleship Tirpitz, which sank in Hokøybotn Bay in Norway. These fragments of the legendary ship were carefully pressed and became the material for the Damascus steel blade of the Tirpitz Damascus knife. Due to the presence of different types of metal, the surface of the blade has a characteristic pattern. The main advantage of Damascus is the combination of hardness and flexibility. In most models, the handle is made of high-quality aluminum, anodized for greater durability, and has a walnut insert, which, due to its strength, was used for the manufacture of German gun stocks. There is also a limited edition with full-size walnut inserts. This knife combines history, tradition and modern technology.
