Butterfly knives, or balisongs, became widely distributed throughout the world after the end of the Second World War - American soldiers brought them home en masse from the Pacific theater of operations as souvenirs. Nowadays, the majority of both well-known knife brands and "no name" manufacturers produce their own versions of this knife, and fans hold competitions on the technique of possession of the Ballysong Covert of the SKIF brand, equipped with a handle made of aluminum. Holes in the handle serve to reduce the overall weight of the knife, as well as facilitate cleaning and care. A special latch is provided for reliable fixation in the closed and open position. The model is available with Tanto Point, Drop Point and Double Edge blades. Blades made of 8Cr14MoV steel have a black coating.
