SKIF Sting OD Green Knife
Overview
The Skif Sting folding knife is a completely new model developed and released in 2019. The name Sting is translated from English as "sting", which is due to the design of the knife and its blade in particular. The drop-point blade is made of alloy steel 8Cr14MoV, which is almost identical to the popular Japanese steel AUS-8A. Unlike the second, no less popular steel 8Cr13MoV, the chromium content in the 8Cr14MoV alloy is slightly increased, thanks to which it was possible to increase the anti-corrosion protection of the blade. Direct descents from the butt provide the knife with excellent cutting qualities. To protect the blade from scratches, the Stone Wash coating is used, and in two variations: black or white (depending on the modification). The knife is opened with the help of a flipper and a double-sided pin. The extraction of the blade is very smooth, which was achieved thanks to the use of the ball bearing system - one of the main differences of the new generation of Skif knives. To secure the blade, one of the most reliable locks is chosen - Frame-Lock. The handles are made of G-10 fiberglass and are available in 3 colors: black, green and orange. The knife has a pocket clip, as well as a hole for a lanyard located in the upper part of the handle. Skif Sting is best suited for everyday use, however, it will be no less effective during a tourist trip or other outdoor activity.
