The blade is made of alloyed steel 9Cr14MoV, which is almost identical to the popular Japanese steel AUS-8A. Unlike the second, no less popular steel 8Cr13MoV, the content of carbon and chromium in the 9Cr14MoV alloy is slightly increased, thanks to which it was possible to increase the hardness and anti-corrosion protection of the blade. the shape of the handle. Notches on the upper part of the butt give greater control over the knife during use. Stone Wash coating is used to protect the blade from scratches, and in two variations: black or white (depending on the modification). The knife is opened with the help of a flipper. Extraction is very smooth - this was achieved thanks to the use of a ball bearing system - one of the main differences of the new generation of Skif knives. To secure the blade, one of the most reliable locks is chosen - Frame-Lock. The handles are made of G-10 fiberglass and are available in 3 colors: black, green and orange. The knife has a pocket clip, as well as a hole for a lanyard located in the upper part of the handle. Whaler is best suited for everyday use, but it will be no less effective during a tourist trip or other outdoor activity.
